Little Sophia has arrive! She is the fourth child in her family and the only girl. What a little princess!

She spent the entire session with her eyes wide open refusing to sleep because she did not want to miss any action. After spending over 2 hours with her I manage to take allot of girly girl shots. This one was to cute not to share!!!

Ottawa Family Portrait - Storey/Armstrong Family

Suzanne and her little family came to Ottawa to visit her parents. They all decided it was time for a new family photo. There were referred to me by the Scollon family which I photographed in 2008.

We took advantage of the nice weather and did the session at the Experimental Farm. We did a variety of poses from the whole group, parents, couples etc keeping everything natural and simple. It was a beautiful day to work outside.

I would like to introduce you to my biggest mentor Huguette Clement.

My husband and I got married in 1993 and hired Mrs. Clement to capture our wedding. Mme Clement was also my teacher in first grade. I remember her because she made us some cream puffs and I have a sweet tooth!!! When my husband and I picked up our wedding album, my husband suggested I should get into photography. Mrs. Clement say my potential and offered to train me if I wanted to follow her during her weddings.

She always thought I was palpable and innovating which is a great boost because I always think I don't have much but she always help put things in perspective. She introduced me to Yousuf Karsh and Kenny Rogers photography which to me are the two greatest portrait photographer.

Mrs. Clement has now been retired for 10 years. Every year I go to her home to spend a couple of days with her to de-compress, enjoy her home cooking and discuss all sorts of things. We recently got together and she asked me to refresh her portraits. Her last one were done 5 years ago. She said she needed new one for her mortuary cards!!!

Ottawa Wedding Photographers - Mellissa & Patrick

I started my wedding season with Mellissa & Patrick's wedding. It was hot, hot, hot but all worth it because the photos are just beaufiful. It was easy creating beautiful images since Mel & Pat are two gorgeous person and trusted me to do whatever pose I wanted.

The ceremony took place at St. Mathieu church in Hammond. Then we headed to the Museum of Cumberland for the family, wedding party and bride and groom shots. The Museum of Cumberland were celebrating their 100th anniversary. We finish the day at the River Rock in Rockland for the reception. It was my first time at that location and found it to be very classy.

Félicitations Méllissa et Patrick. What a super day!!!

The Grimes - Ottawa Family Portrait

I photograph the Grimes family and I must say they all look great. They were a referral from another family I recently work with.

Their daughter Stephanie was in town for a visit so they took advantage of the time to refresh their family photo.

We met a Tabaret Hall at Ottawa U. Was it every a hot day but all worth it because all the photos are just amazing. Julie and Mike had a very hard time picking.

Julie recently graduated and is very eager to start her career as a teacher. She is very passionate about children. Mike just applied to become a firefighter.

Valerie & Ed got married in 2004 and I was the chosen photographer. They were referred to me by Valerie's brother.

Since their wedding they've come back for family portraits when they have their first son Ethan and now it was time to add Owen. Those 2 boys are smart and full of energy. Not a dull moment. They kept me on my toes!!!

I met Kim in 2001 at her sister Terri's wedding which was held at the Lodge at Strathmere.

Kim wanted photos with her son Logan. We went to Petrie Island on a Saturday morning and created beautiful images and later did another session in the studio and created other beautiful images making Kim's selection very difficult.

The images from Petrie Island were my favourite as they were more relax and candid. Logan ran around and did some climbing.

Last year I had the opportunity to photograph Sophie and Morgan's wedding at Chateau Montebello. It was a beautiful wedding and the warmest weekend of the summer!!

Sophie wanted to offer a Mother's Gift to her mom by bringing her to the studio to have a 3 generation portrait done. We did all kinds of poses from traditional to candid, grandma hidding behind the backdrops and making funny faces so Olivia would smile. The selection of photos was interesting.

This photo is my favourite!!!

France and Françis came to see me 2 years ago to photograph their wedding held at Stanley's Farm. What a beautiful wedding!

Now they are back with their gorgeous baby daughter Mélia which was born on April 19. Her mom is very creative. She had brought in all sorts of props so Mélia could have personnalized photos.

This is one of my favourite. She's a beautiful gift from God.

Kaitlyn's parents brought her in so I could document her first year anniversary. The last time I saw her she weighed less than 10 pounds and slept throughout the whole session. She sure has grown into a beautiful young baby.

We played with dresses, tutus, hats, chairs, did some family portraits making the selection for her parents very difficult.

Amy came to see me for boudoir photos of herself and with her fiance Martin. They are getting married this coming July.

Andrianne came back to the studio, she is now 6 months!! She sure has grown since her newborn photos.

It is so nice to be able to work with repeat customers as I get to capture them at different stages into their lives.

I was able to spend a whole hour with Andrianne before she had enough. Trying different props and poses. When babies start to get tired I just let them play because not looking at the camera is alright as I get to capture a more natural expressing.

Julie has been coming to my studio on a yearly basis since 2006 either for maternity, family portraits or a portrait of her 2 boys.

Every year we put our heads together to come up with different and fun ideas. I must say this year was quite a challenge as Benoit and Vincent are very energetic boys. When they left I was disappointed in myself because I thought for sure I had nothing good to present.

By combining 2 photos together and addding an effect I manage to deliver this photo.

Julie LOVE IT. I love it so much, it's being enlarged as a 20x24 for display in my studio.

Julie is currently pregnant her third baby and will be coming back in the fall to capture her pregnancy.

I met Heather many years ago when she was teaching aerobics at Ray Friel Center. Those were the years that I was in good shape because she knew how to give a good class. We've always kept in touch with pot lucks, birthday parties and e-mails.

They came back to get some family portraits done for Christmas with their son Caleb and Gavin. I thought they were just adorable as everyone look so casual.

I look forward in photographing more of that family as the kids get older.

Back in November my cousin's daughter came to work with me for a career day with her school. I explained to her the pros and cons of being self employed, showed her how to do a studio portrait session and gave her some retouching tips.

Little Geneva made my job very easy since she slept almost the entire session. When she woke up her eyes were sparkling I knew it would be worthwhile capturing.

I documented Jacynthe & Michel's wedding in October.

The ceremony was at St. Joseph in Orleans so we took advantage of the surroundings to photograph the family, bridal party and shots of the couple. The reception was held at the Greyhawk Golf Course. Since the colors were so nice I decided to take them on the course to a beautiful spot I usually work at. Oh boy! was the ride on the golf cart ever cold but worthwhile since I manage to take this photo.

Jacinthe and Jean Luc came to see me in 2004 while they were expecting little Emma-line. Since then I've had the opportunity to do their baby and family portraits.

At Halloween, I offered a special for children between 2 an 6 years so they came back with Emma-line. I couldn't believe how much she had grown since the last time I had seen her. It was fun to photograph the "Super Girl".

Val came to see me last year for a photography contract. She got my name through a wedding promotion I did with Kiss FM. We then became Golf buddies. Every Tuesday night I head out at the Thunderbird Golf Club or the Marches for a girl's night out.

Val came back this year to have family portraits done with her 2 beautiful children Cass and Jake. They are crazy, energetic and fun just like their mom!!! which made my job easy because they did anything I ask them to. You can tell by the montage that we all had a good time.

I'm sure glad to have done that promo because it brought me such a great friend.

Fall Wedding

My husband and I had a fun and busy day on Saturday caputuring Kari and Sean's Wedding.

We started with Kari photos at her home with her parents and her wedding party and then headed out to the NAC to do the same for Sean. They had a very unique and personalized ceremony by Keith Langeville of Exceptional Ceremonies in Ottawa where Kari and Sean got to compose their own vows. WOW, amazing.

The rain stop and we manage to do some outdoor shots taking advantage of the downtown scenery and the fall colours.

By the end of the day I was exhausted but when I say the photos it was all worth it!!!

What was suppose to be a rainy day turn out to be an awesome day.

Everyone looked gorgeous and did whatever I ask them too. This was one fun and inspiring wedding and I have the photos to prove it!! You can tell by the images that this couple are truly in love.

Amelia and Corey came to see me in 2004 to photograph their wedding. I always feel special when clients come back to my studio. I'm starting to see more and more clients coming back for maternity, babies, family portraits and even boudoir.

It was Amelia's idea to add the ribbon to the photo since little Colby will almost be a Christmas baby. Sometimes the best images are the ones the subject are not looking at the camera!

September Wedding

I photograph Lindsay and Matt's wedding on September 12. We were already familiar with each other since 4 years ago I photographed the wedding of Lindsay's brother.

The energy from this wedding is still flowing as I'm writing this text. The excitement did not stop from the bride's house up until the park. Lindsay and Matt's photos were taken at the Theatre de l'Ile in Hull with a beautiful scenery and natural lighting. I felt like the energyzer bunny, I could of kept on and on all day.

Brigitte came to see me for a boudoir photo session. This is my favourite part of photography as I get to capture a women's beauty, shape and form in many different ways by setting just the right mood.

When I met Brigitte at the consultation, I thought she was gorgeous, sexy and couldn't wait to photograph her. As the session progress, Brigitte became more confortable and confident making my job very easy. The photos are stunning.

I met Christine 10 years ago in a clothing store I worked in when I was in High School. I thought she was gorgeous and approached her to see if she would be interested in modeling for me. She said yes without hesitating. Since then she's been the model I've used everytime a crazy idea goes through my head. I know I can alway count on her to be available and open minded. While working on a project she mentioned that her dad had a Harley Davidson so I began to put some thoughts together. It was definately a project I wanted to do with her.

For the past 10 years I've seen Christine transform from a young shy women to a beautiful bride, to a mom. Needless to say by looking at the photo she is a sexy mommy!!!

If you've read this far, Congratulations. I would like to mention that during my spare time (when I have some!!!) I like to work a new projects such as this one to test my creativity. If you have an idea and willing to volunteer drop me a line. You never know your idea could become my inspiration.

The Menard family came to see me last summer for family portraits. Mireille and JP decided to hire me for their wedding on July 18, 2009. What started out as a beautiful sunny day at the Monterey Inn, turned into pourring rain. JP's father works at the NAC and was able to make arrangements for us to do the photos inside. Luckily the rain stop and I managed to create some outstanding images and document another memorable wedding.

Memorable birthday

So I turned the big 40 on August 8 and spent the day working. A boudoir in the morning and a wedding in the afternoon. Allot of people thought I was crazy and thought I should of been out celebrating. But I was celebrating!!! Celebrating the beginning of Michelle and Micheal's life together. It is obvious that the love between these two is very geniune. I could of snap photos forever.

Michelle came to see me this winter because she needed a portfolio. We got to talking and I found out that she has 5 horses.

During my spare time (when I have some) I like to do projects that permit me to step out of my box and test my creativity so I offered to go photograph Michelle during the summer with one of her horses.

WOW!!! is all I can say. It was the first time I worked with a horse and I sure learned allot. Did you know that when their ears are straight up it means that the horse is happy.

I tell ya standing next to the horse, I sure felt like a peanut!!

My husband and I visited some good friends of ours, Stephanie and Paul, in Kingston at the end of August. We get together a couple times of year to eat, dring and laugh and of course shop!!!

I had purchased some new flash equipment to do some cool shots so I had told them that they had to model for me or else!!! Unfortunately the equipment didn't work like I want to so I have to go back and see my sellsman to find out which button I forgot to press.

Since I had them all pump up and my camera was out I took some shots of them anyway.

First of the season

I had the pleasure of starting my wedding season in the rain. But you know what they say, a rainy wedding is a happy wedding. Well Annie and Mario will have a long life of happiness because it poured rain most of the day. The rain stop for about 1 hour and half after the ceremony so we were able to capture some awesome outdoor shots.
