Ottawa Family Portrait - Storey/Armstrong Family

Suzanne and her little family came to Ottawa to visit her parents. They all decided it was time for a new family photo. There were referred to me by the Scollon family which I photographed in 2008.

We took advantage of the nice weather and did the session at the Experimental Farm. We did a variety of poses from the whole group, parents, couples etc keeping everything natural and simple. It was a beautiful day to work outside.

Ottawa Portrait Photographer - My Mentor

I would like to introduce you to my biggest mentor Huguette Clement.

My husband and I got married in 1993 and hired Mrs. Clement to capture our wedding. Mme Clement was also my teacher in first grade. I remember her because she made us some cream puffs and I have a sweet tooth!!! When my husband and I picked up our wedding album, my husband suggested I should get into photography. Mrs. Clement say my potential and offered to train me if I wanted to follow her during her weddings.

She always thought I was palpable and innovating which is a great boost because I always think I don't have much but she always help put things in perspective. She introduced me to Yousuf Karsh and Kenny Rogers photography which to me are the two greatest portrait photographer.

Mrs. Clement has now been retired for 10 years. Every year I go to her home to spend a couple of days with her to de-compress, enjoy her home cooking and discuss all sorts of things. We recently got together and she asked me to refresh her portraits. Her last one were done 5 years ago. She said she needed new one for her mortuary cards!!!

Ottawa Wedding Photographers - Mellissa & Patrick

I started my wedding season with Mellissa & Patrick's wedding. It was hot, hot, hot but all worth it because the photos are just beaufiful. It was easy creating beautiful images since Mel & Pat are two gorgeous person and trusted me to do whatever pose I wanted.

The ceremony took place at St. Mathieu church in Hammond. Then we headed to the Museum of Cumberland for the family, wedding party and bride and groom shots. The Museum of Cumberland were celebrating their 100th anniversary. We finish the day at the River Rock in Rockland for the reception. It was my first time at that location and found it to be very classy.

Félicitations Méllissa et Patrick. What a super day!!!

The Grimes - Ottawa Family Portrait

I photograph the Grimes family and I must say they all look great. They were a referral from another family I recently work with.

Their daughter Stephanie was in town for a visit so they took advantage of the time to refresh their family photo.

We did all sorts of poses, full length, close up, the girls, mom and dad.

Julie & Mike - Ottawa Portrait

You can tell by the photo that Julie and Mike are a very photogenic couple and very much in love!

We met a Tabaret Hall at Ottawa U. Was it every a hot day but all worth it because all the photos are just amazing. Julie and Mike had a very hard time picking.

Julie recently graduated and is very eager to start her career as a teacher. She is very passionate about children. Mike just applied to become a firefighter.

Ottawa Family Portraits - Would you like a good cupcake or coffee?

Valerie & Ed got married in 2004 and I was the chosen photographer. They were referred to me by Valerie's brother.

Since their wedding they've come back for family portraits when they have their first son Ethan and now it was time to add Owen. Those 2 boys are smart and full of energy. Not a dull moment. They kept me on my toes!!!

Their 3rd son Aiden is on it's way so we took advantage of the session to capture Valerie's pregnancy glow.

Ottawa Family Portraits - Boileau Family

Julie & Chris gave their mom a gift certificate for a family portrait session as a Mother's Day gift.

They brought in their dog Benji, he's part of the family too!!. We did all kinds of poses, even Benji had a solo.

Sherri came to see so I could capture her pregnancy glow! She's expecting her 4th child ... a baby girl.

I was recently approached by a nice lady named Heather Brown who is one of the partners in a business called Shauna's Bowtique. They sell handmande, high quality hair bows and accessories.

Ottawa Portrait Photographer - Kim and Logan

I met Kim in 2001 at her sister Terri's wedding which was held at the Lodge at Strathmere.

Kim wanted photos with her son Logan. We went to Petrie Island on a Saturday morning and created beautiful images and later did another session in the studio and created other beautiful images making Kim's selection very difficult.

The images from Petrie Island were my favourite as they were more relax and candid. Logan ran around and did some climbing.

Ottawa Portrait Photographer - 3 generations

Last year I had the opportunity to photograph Sophie and Morgan's wedding at Chateau Montebello. It was a beautiful wedding and the warmest weekend of the summer!!

Sophie wanted to offer a Mother's Gift to her mom by bringing her to the studio to have a 3 generation portrait done. We did all kinds of poses from traditional to candid, grandma hidding behind the backdrops and making funny faces so Olivia would smile. The selection of photos was interesting.

Ottawa Baby Photographer - Cute Frog!

Maxime is one of the babies who voluntered for my baby project.

He was referred to me by his Aunt Janelle who's wedding I photographed 5 years ago at Ste. Marie in Orleans.

Maxime was 12 days old at the time of the session. He's a very handsome little man and a very good model.

Ottawa Baby Photographer - Petit Cadeau!

France and Françis came to see me 2 years ago to photograph their wedding held at Stanley's Farm. What a beautiful wedding!

Now they are back with their gorgeous baby daughter Mélia which was born on April 19. Her mom is very creative. She had brought in all sorts of props so Mélia could have personnalized photos.

This is one of my favourite. She's a beautiful gift from God.

Kaitlyn's parents brought her in so I could document her first year anniversary. The last time I saw her she weighed less than 10 pounds and slept throughout the whole session. She sure has grown into a beautiful young baby.

We played with dresses, tutus, hats, chairs, did some family portraits making the selection for her parents very difficult.

She's quite the model!!!!

Zoe wanted some nice and sassy photos taken of her. She is so beautiful it was easy for me to take nice shots.

I noticed the tattoo on her arm so I questioned her about it. She told me it was her daughter's name who is now 1 years old. I thought that was special and wanted to incorporate it into her photos.

Veronique came to see me 7 years ago to photograph her wedding. I then did baby photos for her daughter Camille and now she came back for baby photos of Maxime.

Maxime is 2 months and sure is a big guy. He was quiet throughout the whole session and he pretty much let me do anything I wanted.

I just love doing boudoir because I get to capture a women's true beauty, shape and form.

Amy came to see me for boudoir photos of herself and with her fiance Martin. They are getting married this coming July.

We did a whole bunch of poses and had some good laughs. Martin is quite the joker!!!

Ottawa Baby Photographer - Andrianne

Andrianne came back to the studio, she is now 6 months!! She sure has grown since her newborn photos.

It is so nice to be able to work with repeat customers as I get to capture them at different stages into their lives.

I was able to spend a whole hour with Andrianne before she had enough. Trying different props and poses. When babies start to get tired I just let them play because not looking at the camera is alright as I get to capture a more natural expressing.

Genevieve & Jeph got a gift certificate from a client of mine who's wedding I will be photographing this coming October.

Maya is 5 months and a pro in front of the camera!!! We did tutu's, hats, clothes and more. The baby blocks where given to Genevieve and Jeph as a gift and I thought it would be nice to add them in some of the photos to make them unique.

Ottawa Baby Photographer - Little Angel

Annik & Jerome got a gift certificate from a family member (who happens to be a repeat customer of mine) to have newborn photos of little Chloe.

She slept, then she cried, then she slept some more. I manage to take allot of wonderful photos during the 2 hours I spent with her. It was worth the wait. Newborn photos are priceless and such a beautiful keepsake to remember that time in a couple's life.

Felisha who is 8 years old is a natural in front of the camera. She was an excellent model and very easy to pose. I did a bunch of photos, sitting, standing, Kelly and Felisha together.

Ottawa Children Portraits - Julie's Monkeys

Julie has been coming to my studio on a yearly basis since 2006 either for maternity, family portraits or a portrait of her 2 boys.

Every year we put our heads together to come up with different and fun ideas. I must say this year was quite a challenge as Benoit and Vincent are very energetic boys. When they left I was disappointed in myself because I thought for sure I had nothing good to present.

By combining 2 photos together and addding an effect I manage to deliver this photo.

Julie LOVE IT. I love it so much, it's being enlarged as a 20x24 for display in my studio.

Julie is currently pregnant her third baby and will be coming back in the fall to capture her pregnancy.

The St-Jean family came to see me 3 years ago for family portraits. Now that Noémie and Katia have grown they wanted to update their family photo.

Little Gabriella is now 6 months!

Her mom came to see me for her maternity and newborn photos. I was happy to see them again.

I met Heather many years ago when she was teaching aerobics at Ray Friel Center. Those were the years that I was in good shape because she knew how to give a good class. We've always kept in touch with pot lucks, birthday parties and e-mails.

She came to see me because her mother has been requesting for a photo of her and her brother with their children.

What do you do with teenagers who are being drag to a photo session because it's a gift for grandma ... work quick and make it painless!
